F2 Pilates

 

   

With an emphasis on breath, core conditioning and body awareness, PILATES exercise is a safe and highly effective way to stretch, strengthen and streamline your body without building bulk or stressing your joints. This class is a perfect complement to cardiovascular exercise, sport, rehab and life. Exercises will leave you looking toned, feeling revitalized and moving with ease.

Intro to Pilates     This 4 week clinic will introduce students to the Essential Mat workout and the 5 basic principles of alignment intrinsic to the Stott method of Pilates. Check out our specialty page for class dates.

Pilates Level I+     For continuing pilates students, this ongoing class will follow the Stott Essential mat repertoire with an introduction to intermediate exercises. Pre-requisite - completion of the 4 week clinic or private consultation with instructor.

Power Mat    The essential repertoire done with a faster pace, you must know the principles. Check out our specialty page for class dates.

Small Apparatus   Revive This unique class is a great way to add variety, intensity and fun to your Pilates mat routine with Weighted Balls and Thera-Bands. It is specifically designed for students with essential Pilates experience who want to enhance and challenge their current mat based workout and take your pilates workout to the next level. The Thera-Band exerciser can be used to add upper and lower body resistance to matwork and simulate many of the moves performed on a Reformer. Footwork will be introduced to target foot and ankle strength (no more toe cramps!) and overall balance. Workouts using the weighted ball provide weight resistance through a full range of motion. The weighted balls will not only target the rotator cuff, but increase awareness and strength of shoulders, back, arms, as well as improve your core trunk strength and joint integrity.
