‘Do Good, Feel Good’

Do Good, Feel Good is our way of giving back to the North Shore communities in which we live and do business.  Each month we will highlight a different charity which will represent a cross-section of needs and awareness.  On the third Sunday of each month, we will hold a class whose proceeds benefit the chosen organization.  We hope that you too, will find this an exciting way to give back to our community.  Please let us know if there is an organization you would like us to consider, as we hope to assist charities that you hold dear to your hearts.

Do Good Feel Good, Fusion Fitness' charitable works returns this Sunday in a new format with another charity close to our hearts, the Foundation for Salem Public Education (FSPE).

FSPE supports creativity and innovation in our public schools.  FSPE provides funding for projects that further students' educational experiences in science, mathematics, the arts and humanities. Such projects go beyond the scope of those funded by the Salem Public School Department. The Foundation works in partnership with the business community, local museums, the National Park Service, Salem State College and the larger community to make schools a true community enterprise. The Foundation also promotes and coordinates community volunteerism and participation in the schools. The Foundation has an interest in funding projects that help students develop their talents according to their needs and interests, foster lifelong learning and effective citizenship, and create an environment in which to pursue and achieve excellence.

Given the challenges currently facing Salem Public Schools, the Foundation is in a unique position to provide enrichment opportunities to students across the city.  These activities are critical to both students and teachers who are able to express creativity and a love of learning outside of, but in support of, normal curriculum activities.
